I have worked in the sport horse industry for forty years as a trainer, instructor, unrated judge, rider, groom, braider, Pony Club coach, vet assistant, and student. I am fascinated by equine pathology and am a dedicated advocate of physiologically correct and anatomically humane training practices for horses and their riders. Talent is a myth; all riders can learn to communicate well and clearly with their horses. Additionally, lifelong soundness through careful, systematic, educated, gymnastic training should be the standard, not the exception.
